Windows 95 Users
Microsoft Internet Explored 3.0
is highly recommended for this game. It's Java Support is 10 times faster than that
of any other browser. Making the game actually run at the speed it does on the
local AppletViwer, thus making the game run at the speed it was originally intended
to run under. Under Windows 95 I do not recommend the use of NetScape 3.0+ at all.
Windows 95 - NetScape 2.XX Users
NetScape 2.0, 2.01 and 2.02 Standard/Gold for
Windows 95 (32-Bit)
seem to have a major bug in it where it decides to crash on many web pages,
some with lots of on-screen activity and others with minimal. This only happens
on some machines, and not on others. Such as on my machine at home
NetScape crashes like crazy and the one at my friends house works just fine.
(And I know I am not alone!)
Any way, since I don't have a solution on how to fix this problem, I recommend
not using NetScape 2.0, 2.01 or 2.02 till the bug is fixed. You might consider
using Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0 or
NetScape 3.0beta to play the
game.
Slow Connections
Users with slow Internet Connections (i.e. Modems), should know that
Balloon Buster needs to load lots of images and sounds, thus you may
see the "LOADING" message for a few minutes.
DO NOT RELOAD, the
program did not crash. Just wait... the second time around you wont
have to wait again.
